Grant Hodges was born and bred a Hoosier (1952), raised just outside
of Indianapolis near Clermont, by parents who included hunting, fishing, and church
attendance as standard child-rearing techniques. He was captain of the wrestling team
while attending University of Indianapolis, and finished a Phd in New Testament Interpretation
in 1982. The same year he married Deborah, and they have one daughter, Rachel, who is
presently a student at Bethel College School of Nursing. He has pastored for 26 years
in Lebanon at Grace, and has counseled families and individuals throughout that period.
A turning point in his counseling career was studying under Dr. Bill Goode of Faith Baptist
of Lafayette for a summer. During this period he was led by Dr. Goode to see the encompassing
applicability of the Bible to all the important life issues we confront.
